Convalescent Plasma and COVID-19

Convalescent plasma  is a procedure in which artificially passive immunity is provided by transferring blood plasma from patients who have suffered from the disease already and have recovered to the patients who are currently having the disease. This new plasma can then provide immunity from the disease to the patient because of antibodies that are present in the blood plasma. Convalescent plasma therapy is one of the proposed treatments for COVID-19.
