Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome is a congenital but rare disorder in which there is the presence of extra conduction pathway between the atrium and ventricle (bundle of Kent) which causes supraventricular tachycardia. The condition is not considered life threatening but may cause serious heart problems. ECG shows short P-R interval followed by slurred upstroke (delta wave) into QRS complex. It can be permanently corrected by catheter-based procedure (ablation).
