Lorazepam Oral is a tranquilizer. This anxiolytic medication belongs to the class of Benzodiazepenes. This anxiolytic or sedative hypnotic drug is used for the treatment of anxiety and stress disorders, sleeping disorders and seizure disorders especially status epilepticus. Moreover, this drug is also used as an anaesthetic in a surgery. The side effects of Lorazepam Oral include fatigue, exhaustion, weakness, drowsiness and sedation. Other side effects include dizziness, headache, depression, lack of co-ordination, restlessness and loss of mental clarity. Severe side effects include respiratory distress, suicidal thoughts, sweating, muscle weakness and allergic reactions. Lorazepam Oral interacts with opioids, anti-convulsants, anti-histamines and anti-psychotic drugs.
