Characteristics of life-threatening asthma attack - Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR) < 33% - Oxygen saturation (SpO2) < 92% - Partial pressure of O2 < 8kPa - Normal Partial pressure of CO2 (PaCO2) = 4.6-6.0 kPa - Cyanosis - Arrhthmia - Silent chest - Reduced consciousness - Poor respiratory effort
