Metronidazole Oral belongs to the class of Nitroimidazole Antimicrobials. This medicine is used for the treatment of infections in gastrointestinal tract and reproductive system. The conditions of reproductive system include Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) e.g. genital herpes and gonorrhea, vaginosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, trichomoniasis and acute salpingitis etc. the conditions of gastrointestinal tract include e.g. amebiasis, H. pylori infection, Crohn’s disease and colitis etc. The side effects of Metronidazole Oral include - Headache - Nausea and vomiting - Loss of appetite - Yeast infection - Diarrhea - Metallic taste - Dry mouth - Loss of libido Metronidazole Oral interacts with the following drugs. - Lomitapide - Flibanserin - Dronabinol
