If you're looking for a detailed book, Lippincott's illustrated reviews of pharmacology and Katzung review pharmacology are the best. For revision and good retention, you can try sketchy pharmacology

I think Lippincott's illustrated reviews of pharmacology is good too, I'm studying all my pharmacology semesters from it

Thank God yeah, but sometimes it depends on the professor, when your professor just focus on giving you more than 300 drugs and just memorizing their effects and side effects without going through details on how is the relation between the drug and the physiology of the body thus knowing why these effects and side effects happen, the subject will be so boring and you might get bad marks, that what happend with me once in pharmacology 2, so sometimes I believe that the best way to learn is selfstudying but really if you have a good professor, it will be so easier and take less time to learn, and teach us the skill of thinking
