I don't know exact answer in this question BUT I know what is the reason for niacin is provide hyperlipidimia patient if you want to know please let me know I am ready to help you

Niacin inhibits lipolysis in the adipose tissue so circulating free fatty acid is decrease so liver uptake amount is decreased so hepatic synthesis of triacylglecerol is decreased so formation of VLDL is decrease so LDL is decrease because LDL is derived from VLDL and also LDL is cholesterol rich lipoprotein so finally plasma triacylglecerol and cholesterol is lowered
