Wonder what's the story behind this case 🤔 The initial assessment requires a comprehensive examination and assessment of wound morphology. Preliminary splinting and radiographs of the injured extremity are necessary. The surgical approach must appreciate the zone of injury and respect the soft tissues. Open reduction and internal fixation are the preferred techniques to stabilize the potential fracture. Neurovascular status must also be assessed prior, during and post surgery.
