Terry's nails appear white except for a band of pink, which remains at the distal tips. The lunula is no longer visible and ground glass opacification is observed throughout the nail. Although Terry's nails may occur as an aging process, they can also point out to some underlying conditions including liver cirrhosis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, congestive cardiac failure, diabetes or renal disease.
