It looks like a sunflower!

In the image above, you can see a sunflower cataract. This finding is quite characteristic of copper deposition in the eye lens. Copper deposition in the eye can be seen in 2 ways: sunflower cataract and Kayser Fleischer ring. These signs are seen in a condition called Wilson's Disease. Wilson's disease is a disorder in which excess copper is deposited in various organs including the liver, brain and eyes. This leads to neurological deficits and mental retardation, liver dysfunction. The disease is treated by penicillamine- a chelating agents which leads to the removal of excess copper from the body.
