Adverse Effects of Valproic Acid

Valproic acid, also known as valproate, is an anticonvulsant drug, used in treatment of epilepsy.it is also used in management of bipolar disorder and migraine prophylaxis. Valproate blocks sodium channels and increase availability of GABA. Despite its efficacy, this drug has a long list of potential adverse effects.
