FOSSA MASS
60 yr old woman with primary diagnoses of lung cancer. Pt currently has a Fossa Mass which started on the left side of her neck and has now spread which was being treated with radiation unsuccessfully. A mass in this area can block the flow of spinal fluid and cause increased pressure on the brain and spinal cord. Palliative care in process. Treatment at this point is for pain management, to keep wound from infection and anti-.inflammatory meds.
