cushing syndrome

cushing syndrome

Cushing syndrome is the clinical state produced by chronic glucocorticoids excess and loss of normal feedback mechanism of hypothalmo pituitary adrenal axis and loss of circadian rhythm of cortisol. In HPA axis the hypothalamus releases CRH (corticotropin releasing hormone ) and which then stimulates pituitary gland to release ACTH(adrenocorticotropic releasing hormone) which further stimulates adrenal gland (zona fasciculata of the adrenal cortex )to release cortisol.

Your body has to produce it's own adrenaline mostly in men for their kind of horomones and cortisol your body produces it naturally but if it stops producing it then you go kaput cause one of it is your bodies mechanisms for natural pain reliever
