Hi, can anyone explain to me why the dose of corticosteroids is higher for children than adults?

It's not usually it's much smaller at least it was when I did peds clinical

It should only be higher if it's absolutely necessary. Normally high doses of steroids in children is avoided bc it can have drastic side effects such as stunted growth.
