Possibly a dumb question, I’m only a CNA so my medical knowledge is limited, I’m just fascinated with the human anatomy. Is there a name for the scar tissue caused by pulmonary emboli? More specifically DVT in the calf that moved to both lungs and the pulmonary artery that caused extensive scar tissue to the base of the right lung and in spots (or granules) throughout both lungs. Thanks!!
Pulmonary fibrosis not same a cystic fibrosis. Pulmonary fibrosis is excess scar tissue which may cause problems such as, poor oxygenation, structural related probs, etc
