If you had a chance to go back and advice yourself when you were in medical or nursing school, what would that advice be?

“Please for the love of god, go see your therapist”😂 I tried to convince myself that I could do EVERYTHING - organization presidency, school committees, volunteering at multiple organizations, research, maintain my 3.7+ gpa even with a rigorous didactic/clinical schedule, hang out with friends, date, see my family more than once every few months. Yeah...not so much. I almost failed a class. Almost didn’t graduate. When my classmates only needed 50s (some even as low as 22) on the final exam to pass the class, I had to pull an A on what was probably the hardest exam I’ve ever sat through in nursing school. All because of burnout-associated depression. It is very, very real, and not fun at all. Therapy helps people process events and emotions, especially stress. I sincerely believe that everyone could benefit from it, regardless of whether you think you need it or not.
