A patient who is 20 year old and came into A&E with chest pain and palpaitions what would you do?...
Full cardiac work up.... trop t, d-dimmer and give something for pain and depending on O2 sat administer O2
What does Dr.Cole’s comment refer to? The chest pain not being “real chest pain”?
Hey amithabh I would think not so far ahead without any test done they need a electrocardiogram and also a ultrasound to make sure the heart is in a normal condition formation and I would double check with toxicology about drugs or alcohol just to make sure because the symptoms came out of nowhere without any prior medical history and also we are talking of a 20 year old before we compromise his life with a heart disease we need to be sure.
I did mean to say sinus tachycardia, it was late! Ha ha thanks for the post
You’d think WPW being a young female however I don’t see a delta wave . I agree with the need for more work up, has anyone asked her to bare down? I’m thinking SVT?
She’s probably anxious and having a panic attack, I’d prescribe daily yoga to include meditation !
