Is every ovarian cyst a sign of PCOD?
There is a diagnostic criteria for PCOS In addition, the ovarian cysts are usually small and peripheral in location. So look for menstrual irregularities, possibly hirstiusm, acne, lab abnormalities showing >3:1 ratio of LH to FsH, higher androgen levels etc Vs an ovarian cyst will not present with all these other symptoms. It may be one large cyst and the patient can present with RLQ pain, menorrhagia etc or even ovarian torsion Hope this helps
