Hey guys, to start off, I’ve had a long medical history. I was diagnosed with some of the rarest gastrointestinal diseases. But, University of Chicago Medicine has done two operations and as of now, I’m cured. My name is Maddie Shippy, I am 15 years old and I’m from Michigan. I attend an international Baccalaureate school. It is ranked #1 in Michigan. Recently, I was invited to a medical congress from the Future Docs Program. It is held in Boston this year. Have any of you heard/been to it? And also, I have a major interest in neurosurgery, as next year I’m starting a medical/HOSA club for a junior high and hopefully taking over my high schools club. If any of you have any recommendations of what may help me become the best of the best, please let me know. Thank you! :)
