Brain Aneurysm Surgery: Surgical clipping of an MCA aneurysm which could not be coiled.

Brain Aneurysm Surgery: Surgical clipping of an MCA aneurysm which could not be coiled.

This is an actual video of Brain Vascular Surgery. A patient with MCA (middle cerebral artery) aneurysm undergoes surgical exposure and clipping of the aneurysm. The aneurysm could not be coiled by interventional radiologists (preferred approach when possible). A benign brain tumor was removed at the same time during the exposure. Courtesy of Dr. Farhad Limonadi MD, director of neurosurgery at Eisenhower Medical Center. Edited by Camus Yu . Assistance provided by Mick Griswold, CRNFA, clinical nurse specialist. "Every day something most profound and extraordinary occurs in our lives: we change every person we come in contact with, and every person who comes in contact with us changes us. Be aware and in control of these changes. Our personal growth depends on it." F. Limonadi MD
