He was brought to the hospital where they did an x-ray of the hand and it showed no bone injury. The arrow was then cut with a saw, lidocaine was injected both on the entry and the exit site to numb the area and the arrow was gently pulled out. The hand was then soaked in a dilute iodine solution. On examination, there appeared to be no major neurovascular damage besides a slight numbness of the inside of the finger m. He was given oral antibiotics and pain medicine.
