Orbitozygomatic Approaches

Based upon the workhorse pterional craniotomy, orbitozygomatic approaches extend the exposure to allow better access to the cavernous sinus, posterior fossa and middle fossa. The frontotemporal-orbitozygomatic (FTOZ) - one and two piece - and orbitofrontal variants are discussed, as well as methods for managing the temporalis and masseter muscles.
