This is the case story of a 51 y/o male. He came to the ER because he was cutting wooden boards for a home remodel using an electric saw. Patient refers he was doing so with the boards on top of his thighs to save time. Needless to say he had an accident. Once encountered, patient disclosed to being HIV positive, as well as having Atrial Fibrillation and being a active cocaine user. On initial inspection, the wound deepness was very impressive. Also it could be seen that the rectus femoris had been slightly damaged and the sartorius muscle was badly severed. Fortunately no major vessels where damaged. Due to the wound severity, patient was taken to surgery few moments after. After surgery, patient is progressing favourably and is expected to make full recovery. Last Tuesday he has been discharged from the hospital. Images and Clinical Case: @dr.johnmarti
