A healthy 29 year old male, Went out drinking on a Saturday night during the Easter Weekend at a local bar where he got involved in a vicious brawl with another unknown male which allegedly stabbed him in his face with a knife. Upon presentation, the patient was slightly intoxicated and smelling of alcohol complaining of painful face and blocked nose; however, he had a GCS of 15/15, was mobilizing without assistance and had completely stable vitals. Upon examination, only a length of 4cm incision is visible on the left face, lateral to nose and inferior to left eye with no active bleeding from the wound nor the nostrils. X-ray revealed a broken blade within and across the sinus cavities. Patient was then referred for further neurosurgical and maxillofacial management.
