Congenital Melanocytic Nevus

Congenital Melanocytic Nevus

My almost 3 month old daughter. We were quite surprised when she was born. She has a Congenital Melanocytic Nevus. She has had an MRI and no melanocytes were seen! Her pediatric dermatologist is confident that her chances of ever having melanoma are only slightly increased. Her satellites are very, very few so far.

All options available for removal include the high possibility of scars, sagging, and stretching of her facial features.

Wouldn't skin grafting provide her with a less disfiguring option?
