
Lumbar MRI examines the lumbar section of the spine, the region where back problems are commonly originated. The MR protocol is one of the most common worldwide and consists of a coronal T2-w FSE, 3 sagittal acquisitions (T2-w FSE, STIR, T1-w FSE) and an axial T2-w FSE. Most of the time, there is no need for contrast (Gd) injection. Of course, additional sequences can be used according to the clinical question. #Repost @radiologyedu
