The Fine Art of Liver Specific Contrast Agent Primovist/Eovist @ Siemens 1.5T AERA There are 3 lesions present on this image. 2 metastases and 1 FNH 1. t2w HASTE difficult to spot the FNH, even the small mets not visible, while t2w SPACE FS and DWI easier. Vessels are present at the SPACE, but not on DWI. DWI has dark blood effect which make it easier to detect the small lesions compared to other sequences. 2. t1w art. the FNH has an intense early enhancement (blue arrow). 3. t1w eq. this is the transition phase, a phase where there is uptake of the contrast in the liver, and the vessels becomes darker. In this case, the FNH has uptake of the contrast along with the liver (yellow arrow). 4. hepatobiliary phase (in this case 25min post) the FNH is bright due to the uptake, and metastases dark (no uptake) (orange arrow). 4. hepatobiliary phase is where the liver is much brighter than the pre images due to the uptake, visible in the bile duct due to excretion and last vessels becomes dark (25min substraction images).#Siemens_MRI #siemens #mri #primovist #abdominal_liver #gadolinium
