Why is coffee good for hepatitis c infection? In chronic hepatitis C coffee consumption induces a reduction in oxidative damage, correlated with increased telomere length and apoptosis, with lower collagen synthesis, factors that probably mediate the protection exerted by coffee with respect to disease progression. It also increases the death of virus infected cells, stabilizes chromosomes and reduces fibrosis. Daily consumption of caffeinated beverages can lead to physical dependence. Caffeine withdrawal symptoms can include days of headache, fatigue, difficulty with concentration and mood disturbances. So though coffee can be good, we don't use it as the only treatment plan due to its drawbacks which is why it's not been a quite well known solution in today's life.
