The correct answer is D. Fibrillin-1. Mutations in the FBN1 or fibrillin gene on chromosome 15q21.1 causes the genetic disorder - Marfan syndrome. The misshapen protein from the mutated gene weakens the tendons, ligaments and other connective tissues in the body. Marfan syndrome is inherited in an autosomal dominant pattern.
