Gadoxetate Disodium–Enhanced MR Imaging of the Liver

Gadoxetate Disodium–Enhanced MR Imaging of the Liver

Gadoxetate disodium (Primovist/Eovist) is an hepatospecific paramagnetic gadolinium-based contrast agent (GBCA), used exclusively in liver MRI. Its main uses are in assessing focal liver lesions and evaluating biliary leakage. Figure presents a metastasis in right lobe of liver (VII segment). Late arterial phase shows fast wash-in, due to metastasis' hypervascularity, hepatocyte phase shows no uptake in this metastatic lesion and high b value DWI shows diffusion restriction.
