Neck MR imaging
Neck MR imaging using IDEAL/Dixon technique. IDEAL (Iterative Decomposition of water and fat with Echo Asymmetry and Least-squares estimation) technique combines 3 echoes (acquired at different TE's) and better algorithms to create water-only (fat-suppressed) and fat-only images. Excellent uniformity of fat suppression is seen in both T1-w and T2-w IDEAL imaging, due to its inherent insensitivity to B0 and B1 inhomogeneities.
