Direct contact burn
(a) Photograph shows a third degree burn on a patient’s calf, which was pressed against the cable of the radiofrequency coil. (b) Photograph shows a phased array coil similar to the one involved in the incident. The coil cable showed no indication of a burn. Arrow = approximate contact point.
