Having a scan can be a scary idea due to the size and noise of the machine, especially for children. General Children's Hospital of Athens "Aghia Sophia" has now got a new MRI scanner simulator to help reassure children ahead of their scan. It is hoped that if children are more comfortable with the idea, there will be a reduction in the number of general anaesthetics required.
