Hi dear How can manage liver cirrhosis with complications (ascites and edema ) And why sodium is advised for treatment, and NSAID is contraindicated Current 2019

This is just a thought. I think sodium is indicated to help with fluid excretion aimed at reducing it's build up in the form of edema and ascites (collectively called anasarca) since sodium ions go hand in hand with water, when the body notices an excess of sodium( from treatment) kidney will work to expel it and concurrently expel excess water. Reducing the fluid build up.

The liver is already in a state of dysfunction or failure, giving nsaids to an already 'sick' liver, only exposes it to toxins that a healthy liver would have otherwise taken care of.
