Rajesh the 5th nerve is called the suicide nerve due to the excruciating pain that drives people to kill themselves to escape the pain.....one of our neurosurgeons who does rhizotomies had two patients take their lives rather than live with unrelenting pain......thankfully that is the extreme......most do well with treatment
