Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Slow insidious growth of the prostatic stromal cells and epithelial glands eventually compressing the urethra. There will be progressively increasing pressure within the bladder and hypertrophy of the detrusor muscle. The exact cause of BPH is not well known.
