Aaand it's a pharmacology nightđŸ˜ĢđŸ˜Ģ it never gets easy but you have to make it into one. It's about the two week drug regimen used in helicobacter pylori infections. Helicobacter pylori main complications: 1.gastric ulcer 2.gastric carcinoma 3.duodenal ulcer related to git. How does it cause inflammation: ammonia produced by urease activity may directly damage the cells. Triple/quadruple drug regimen therapy objectives: 1.prevent growth of resistant organism 2.prevent relapse 3.promote rapid ulcer healing . Triple therapy: 1. Amoxicillin 2.lansoprazole 3.clarithromycin Quadruple therapy: 1.metronidazole 2.tetracycline 3.cbs 4.omeprazole. Among these resistance develops to only metronidazole and clarithromycin.
