Hypertension effects are dangerous, This picture illustrates the major effects on the body organs. In the heart we can notice the heart failure with left ventricular hypertrophy. In the brain stroke and hypertensive enceohalopathy are serious complications that might lead to death. In the kidney protinuria and progressive renal failure are seen. Eyes retina might show hypertensive retinopathy. Treatment differes according to the age, race and medical condition, most ommonly we use diuretics(thiazide) or ACEi for young patients while in elderly the drug of choice is CCB.
