Myocardial Infarction types

This diagram shows the differences between MI type1 and type2.There are 5 types of MI, They are:-1.Spontaneous MI(Type1): This type is related to atherosclerotic plaque rupture and thrombus formation, usually associated with coronary artery disease(CAD).2.MI due to Ischemic Imbalance(Type2): Myocardial injury and necrosis where conditions other than CAD are involved.3.MI leading to Cardiac Death(Type3): Patients developing cardiac death and new Ischemic ECG with MI symptoms.4.MI due to Procedures (Type4): MI related to percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or stent thrombosis.5.MI due to Procedures (Type5): Myocardial infarction related to coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
