Acquired immunization is divided into two types:-1.Active immunization: Produce a host immune response to create memory, it is of slow onset but for long duration. It has two types:-A.Natural: Getting infected with a pathogen and recovering.B.Artificial: Vaccines.2.Passive immunization: Produce transient protection without creating memory. It is of fast onset but for short duration. It has two types:-A.Natural: Mother to infant as Placental IgG crossing into fetal circulation.B.Artificial: Antivenom, antitoxins, pooled human Ig against viral strains, and monoclonal antibodies.
