Here you can see what allows you to move :) Endomysial connective tissue is yellow, the fibers are red.The fibers contain series of proteins (actin and myosin) that contract, and the addition of thousands of these micro-contractions lead to a big contraction of the whole muscle.Without these guys you wouldn't even be able to breath!
