Rheumatic Heart Fever

It is characterised by myocardial inflammatory lesions which are called as ASCHOFF BODIES (which is a classical finding for Rheumatic heart disease) ASCHOFF cells are collection of lymphocytes,plasma cells and activated macrophages which are called as ANITSCHKOW cells(caterpillar cells -----as it resembles wavy ribbon) and zones of Fibrinoid necrosis
