This device is used in ventricular tachyarrhythmias...ICDs are larger than pacemakers because of their large battery and capacitor to enable defibrillation ....this device is used prophylactically in patients who have high risk of sudden cardiac death

Speaking from experience, if it gets dislodged don't poke it.
