Right side heart failure is due to left side heart failure. You might find a high amount of fluid in the alveoli, causing the patient to feel disnea. Now, this fluid also may enter the hepatic veins through the inferior vena cava, causing hepatomegaly due to the high amount of fluid in the cells. This may travel its way to the iliac veins causing the fluid to reach the inferior extremities causing oedema. The patient may also suffer from cardiomegaly due to other factors such as Hipertension, or due to a disfunction causing a higher volume of blood residing in the heart. Finally, you have jugular ingurgitation, this is when the blood amounts in the jugular vein due to the failure of pumping it. So, in a summary, symptoms usually are disnea, fatigue, intolerance to workouts and signs usually are cardiomegaly, hepatomegaly, Oedema in peripheral tissue and also jugular ingurgitation. May this help you.
