I can’t decide: should I go into the military or into medical school? I haven’t come across anyone who has made or is making this decision, and need advice. So tell me your thoughts, or if you know someone who had to choose like this, can you ask them? Thanks everyone.
I believe that if you join the military they pay for part of your education once your term of service has ended. I would double check that.
I think you should go towards the military one. It has many advantages; first of all, the quality of studies is awesome. Secondly, along with studies, you can easily get disciplined. Lastly, the worth of its degree is exceptional..☺ Hope you have understood my point of view. Do remember me in your prayers. I actually also want to join a military college..😊
Just focus on your studies, and help other. I mean help others so that they remember you in good words. Also, believe in yourself. Then, you would surely get to the righteous path..😊
If you join the U.S. military, do so as an officer. This means that you will have to have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree. They will pay off your student debt 100% and the remainder of debt to get your PhD. The only caveat is that you dedicate a 10 year contract. This includes your time as a resident. Do not let someone talk you into an Enlisted contract. Must be an Officer contract.
You can go enlisted if you please. They will offer tuition assistance, while you are in. But it's up to the discretion of your leadership to allow you the time to use it. And you will recieve the G.I.Bill after discharge from enlistment, but it only covers 36 months of education. It's near impossible to get tuition payback as an enlisted personnel.
I’m not a military doctor. I’m a medic in the army though. Opportunities are great. My PA I work with is tryin to get me into MED school here shortly. Seen guys go through different courses givin em amazing opportunities to connect and network. Got few buddies working in Tampa, Springfield and Flint for trauma rotations. I’m workin on the weekends at our major trauma hospital as a paramedic. I don’t got a md but being 21 I got a leg up with hands on vs most residents I’ll see when I start MED school.
Go in the srvice first then they will pay for your medical school plus get some medical teaining while in the service. This is what i should have done instead it cost me 90,000 for school loans.
