Increase count shows infections.count vary in neonates.chidren& adults.for further evaluation check count of neutrophils & lymphocytes.

If it's above than 11000 it maybe a infection, but if it above than 50000 maybe it's one of cancer sign

In most cases it is just an infection but it can be a cancer although it is rare
