The most common type of kidney stones is calcium oxalate stones. Your doctor may advise you to abstain from oxalate-rich diet to prevent oxalate kidney stones. Oxalate is naturally found in all foods especially spinach, sweet potatoes, beets, chocolate, wheat bran, nuts, seeds and chocolate.
