In the container your lab (I hope) provided and in the fridge/cooler if no other instructions were given.. Do not keep for long, they want a fresh sample, not a dried up old.... you know

Look for the specimen cups that appear to have a tiny ice-cream spork attached to the lid! Label first, collect second, and remember your aseptic technique lol

How to collect stool sample? • If you want to pee, pee first. • Place a clean newspaper, plastic wrap, empty food container or anything else to catch the poo. • Make sure poo does not touch the toilet. • Always use a sterile sample to collect and store the sample. Mention your name, date of birth and date of collection on the container. • Use the spatula or spoon provided with container to collect the poo. • Fill one-third of container. It is approximately walnut size. • Remove the newspaper, plastic wrap, and empty food container. Tie it in a plastic bag and throw it in the bin. • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water. How to store stool sample? • Try your best to handover the sample as soon as possible to the laboratory. • If you are unable to do so, inquire your GP about the possibility of refrigerating the sample. • Put the sample in fridge for the recommended time period before you hand it over.
