Treatment of dehydration is quite simple. The only motive is to rehydrate the body. Plenty of fluids especially juices and water are sufficient. In case of serious diarrhea or electrolyte imbalance, isotonic IV fluids including normal saline, 5% dextrose solutions dissolved in water, and Lactated Ringer's solution are purposeful.
