Raynaud's Phenomenon

Raynaud's Phenomenon

Shown here is fingers discoloration.RP is a condition results from exposure to changes in temperature (cold or hot), emotional events, or associated with certain diseases resulting in fingers and/or toes discoloration. Skin discoloration occurs because of inadequate blood supply due to an abnormal vessels spasm resulting in less blood reaching the end of the fingers as shown in the above picture. The discoloration starts white then with time becomes blue. Treatment of Raynaud's phenomenon involves protection of the digits, medications, and avoiding emotional stresses, smoking, cold temperature, and tools that vibrate the hands.
